We’re all looking for the perfect gift this time of year. The therapist in me wants to tell you that all you need to give is your unconditional, genuine, love… the only gift that really matters. (fyi therapists don’t give or accept gifts from clients because it blurs boundaries and because we truly believe the therapeutic relationship is the best gift we have to offer) But I’m sure you’re looking for something that will gift-wrap really pretty, so I got to thinking about gifts that strongly convey love.
I like gifting items that are more than what they seem, and have an extra-special message, intention, or warm wish attached to them. Something that will bring the user comfort and joy not just when unwrapped, but each time it’s used.
No need to splurge, some of the greatest gifts cost more in thought than dollars, but here’s a great place to start. Most of these are under $50! These are some of my favorite gifts this year. Some are gifts I have given or received in the past, which are memorable, heart felt, and timeless. Read the descriptions below to learn why!
